I would work on a multiproc/workflow ability in lisp, 
 if I could make some of that part available to others.
(ie. as it works in w/some of my basic PSE ideas)

I would (like to) use your work as example to try this.
I also think I could suggest other uses of your work, other than derivatives.
You could at last consider (more general) data-mining consulting as an offshoot.

It sounds like the work done at Franz has been expensive and not taken the practical/speed needs
 fully into account.  I know I won't be able to do as good a job as the experts at Franz.
 Yet it is something I am interested in, and if I could derive some benefit (as above &/or -see-lnk-)
 then I'm sure that it could be done for significantly less.
